Intrastate vs. Interstate

While there are overseas and local moves, the two most common divisions of moving are basically intrastate and interstate. The reason behind this is quite simple, most people move form one state to another, one street to another but they do not usually move overseas unless they want to do some sort of working, soul searching, backpacking and long travelling in other countries. This is why Intra and Inter states are the most common divisions of moving as this is what most people deal with.

Intrastate moves are commonly paid per hour.  The longer the moving takes place, the higher the amount that you’ll have to pay for. This is why if you have furniture that needs to be disassembled by the movers, there is a good chance that you’ll pay higher as compared  to an already disassembled furniture which would only take a minute or so to lift and carry to the moving truck. If the movers have to assemble it again in your new house, it would take more time which means would cost more amount.

Interstate moves on the other hand  is based on the number as well as the weight of your stuff. These types of moves do not finish in one day. Movers takes will put your property on their warehouse  first  and they wait for their truck to be filled by others who picked the same type of move before they get to ship your things out. Most of the time, this type of move involves different people. The man who carried your piano to the truck will not be the same man who will carry it back in your new house.
