Cleaning Up: A Must Before Leaving

There is this Chinese philosopher who talks about not doing to others what you don’t want others to do to you. This is very true and  applicable in life and in moving. If you are moving to another place. You don’t want the house that you just bought to be in a bad condition. This is why you need to pay it forward.

If you are on the process of selling your house, be honest to the buyer. If there are cracks, damages and other things, let it all out. There are times when an “unseen” or “unrecognizable” damage are not put in the bright light. This will work to your advantage in terms of money but not in conscience. Put yourself in the position of the buyer, you don’t want to get less than what you actually paid for, don’t you?

Cleaning up your house or apartment before moving is you responsibility. You don’t want to appear gross or untidy to the house buyer. If there are food residue on the sink or falling hairs on the shower, make it a point to clean these up, you are moving and so is your dirt. Besides, you don’t want the owner of the house or apartment that you are moving in to to leave their unwanted wastes in your new place, same thing can be said to the new people in your old house.
