Moving to Asia

There are two types of  Americans who live in Asia. The first types are the “Jim Rogers” whose relocating is due to the rich and bustling economy of Asia. A lot of businessmen tried to escape from the economic downturn by relocating in  economic giants of  Asia like Japan, Singapore and China. The second types are the “Julia Roberts” in Eat,Pray,Love whose main purpose of relocating in Asia is to do major soul-searching, self-discovery and travelling.

Asia is one of the best places to live as it is a combination of East and West. If you want to live in a more “Americanized” country, the Philippines is your best bet as people there are as Americanized as the Americans. While other countries in Asia may struggle with their English speaking skills, people in the Philippines, whether educated or not know a thing or two about English.  If you have a business that you want to market, Singapore and China are your best bet as it is where the shakers and movers are.

If you want to relocate in a place where work and party all at the same time, Asia is your place to be. Relocating your stuff from the US may be a bit costly though as transporting of “big” stuff like a grand piano or grandfather clock require the moving company that you are dealing with to have shipping cargo access an the like. If you are moving in a place that is far from your current location, try to dispose all your things first. If you are not sure about staying in Asia for good, try to find a cheap storage company to keep the things that you just can’t let go of.
