The end of semester is just a few weeks from now, thus, a lot are already planning their apartment and dorm move-out.
As said by Severin Walstad, IRHA’s president, residence buildings will be closed come May 5. By then, the 7,700 students living within the campus should already move out.
Walstad advised the students to attend the last residence hall floor meeting. In this meeting, the resident assistance will also go over the checkout process. Students are obliged to arrange check-out appointments with their resident assistants at least a day in advance to avoid charges.
UF Mover Guys’ owner Jordan Speisman said that his company specializes in full-service moving, from packing to unpacking. According to him, his company is typically in its busiest state when end of semesters come as well as during summer.
Different students have different plans. Some students need moving services as they go home to live with their parents during the vacation. Meanwhile, some out-of-state students are considering storing their belongings in storage facilities for the meantime.
As Speisman stated, their average moving services cost ranges between $180 and $260. Students can ask for a quote by contacting Mover Guys by phone or email.
Meanwhile, resident manager of A-1 Mini Storage Sharon McLaughlin said that their 5ft x 10 ft storage unit, which is popular among students, can be rented for $47 a month.
